How To Style Sheer Clothing This Summer!

Sheer clothing is in this year more than ever before, so adding a few pieces for your summer wardrobe is a must! We’re here with a few different occasions that you can wear sheer clothing for, from festivals to going out and even work (yes, work, hear us out).

We’ve got it all covered so get ready to feel inspired! When it comes to sheer, you can wear as much or as little underneath as you like to feel confident when you’re wearing it, which will likely change depending on the kind of place you’re wearing the outfit to. Experimenting with wearing sheer is a great way to get creative and find your sense of style.

For Festivals

The number one place to wear sheer this summer has got to be festivals! Anything goes when it comes to festival outfits, as it’s the perfect time for you to wear whatever you feel confident in and look incredible doing it. We’re big fans of a sheer dress or skirt, whether it’s fully sheer material, has elements of sparkle or is lace, then you can wear shorts and a bralette underneath, or something with more coverage if you’d feel more comfortable. If you don’t want a fully sheer outfit, go with either a top or bottoms, then you have that bit more coverage overall. A classic festival look is to wear high waisted sheer trousers with hot pants underneath then a matching crop top! This is a stunning look that will get heads turning for all the right reasons.

For Work

Sheer can add a stunning detail to so many different outfits, work included! Now of course, the vibe is going to be very different for festivals than it would for work, however you can still include sheer elements. A sheer shirt with a camisole underneath tucked into high waisted trousers with a belt is such a lovely work look that’s also modest. You could also style a sheer shirt underneath a sweater vest for some contrast. A fully sheer skirt layered with a block skirt over the top or underneath could also work. You have plenty of options and it’s a great opportunity to get creative with your layering here.

Going Out

Another great option for sheer outfits is when you’re going out. Again, much like festivals, you can wear what you really want and it’s a great opportunity to show off your sense of style. Sheer tops are really popular for going out outfits, so you could style them with a mini skirt or flared trousers. For a bit more coverage if you wanted it, you could layer with a blazer, which works especially well in the winter. Finish this look with knee high boots! You could get a sheer over dress, maybe black or red dress, and then wear it with whatever you fancy, from leather trousers through to shorts and everything in between.
